Jihosoft Free Eraser

Free to use for personal, non-commercial purposes, Jihosoft Eraser is a tool that can be used to securely and permanently delete data. Files, folders, drives, partitions, and free space – they can all be erased with Jihosoft Eraser. Jihosoft Free Eraser makes sure deleted data cannot be recovered.

The installer you have to download to get Jihosoft Eraser up and running is only 2MB in size, meaning that downloading it will take little time. The same goes for completing the installation process. It’s a simple matter of running the installer and clicking Next when the setup wizard shows up.

I found the application’s interface incredibly easy to use. The buttons on the left hand side make it quite easy to access all the functionality the application has to offer. If you don’t find the interface very easy to use, if you need help figuring things out, access the Help menu. It will take you to a webpage that presents the interface and presents step by step instructions on how to use Jihosoft Eraser.

Speaking about using Jihosoft Eraser, the application’s functionality can be divided into several categories: securely delete files and folders, securely delete drives and partitions, securely delete free space. Choose to securely delete files and folders and you can pick one of five deletion levels. Choose to securely delete drives and partitions and you can pick to clear up MFT and clear Change journal. Choose to securely delete free space and you can pick to clear up MFT, clear Change journal, and overwrite slackspace.

As mentioned above, Jihosoft Eraser is free for personal, non-commercial purposes. Alongside the Free version there’s a paid Pro version and a second paid Commercial version.
